It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, available at redactforai.com/privacy, which explains how we handle the personal data submitted through the download form.
2. THE DESKTOP APPLICATION DOES NOT USE COOKIES
Redact for AI, the desktop application you download and install on your computer, does not use cookies, web beacons or any equivalent tracking technology. The application runs entirely offline: documents you process never leave your computer, and no information about your use of the application is transmitted to us, as described in our Privacy Policy. This Cookie Policy concerns only the Website, not the application itself.
3. WHAT ARE COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device through your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser's localStorage, perform an equivalent function by saving data exclusively on your device, without automatically transmitting it to the website's server with every request (unlike traditional cookies). The Website uses the latter technology, as described in art. 4.

The Website and the download form are hosted on infrastructure provided by Lovable Cloud (Supabase), which acts as our processor with respect to the data entered in the download form, as described in our Privacy Policy. The information referred to in art. 4 (language preference, download form status) is saved exclusively locally, in your browser, and not through cookies set by that infrastructure or by other third-party providers.
7. MANAGING LOCALLY STORED DATA
You can delete data stored in localStorage and block the storage of new data at any time through your browser settings, including on a per-website basis. Please note that disabling this data may limit some features of the Website (for example, remembering your preferred language or the status of the download form, which may then be requested again).
